We have great love for a beautiful small town in Vermont called Waitsfield. Above are some pictures from our summer visit - I loved the small white building in particular by the bridge, beneath the deck a canoe was stashed, charming to picture evening cocktails with a setting sun. We have visited here for twenty years in the summer and are so sad to see the damage the flooding from Irene has caused as seen in their newspaper, The Valley Reporter, here.

Heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers go out to Vermonters there and in many places in that beautiful state.
What a shock, eh? My heart hurts for them.
