Walking the Rye marshlands

Someone thoughtful left a perfect walking stick propped up against a tree. Grateful.

If I press my hands against this, will I find myself back in time? In Scotland? Hmmm.

Poetry April

So pleased to have my poem, Perspective, on the No Extra Words podcast. I'm reading it - I found an app to record it and did so feeling madly techie the entire time.
Another good thing this lovely month of celebrated poetry is having four lines from my poem, Backstory, riding around on buses as part of an inspired poetry event by Norwalk, Connecticut 's very own poet laureate, Laurel Peterson.
If you are on a bus in Norwalk, enjoy the poetry snippets by assorted poets, and here's the photo to guide you to listen to the podcast.

Spring unspools

I've been down with the worst cold and it seems that Spring was very busy while I had my nose buried in a box of tissues.

But where are all the turtles?
