Hugs and kisses, flowers and cards, snuggles and smooches. Taking a moment to reflect on what a rollicking, blessed, amazing ride my life has been because of my children. Who love me even if I don't make them glazed doughnuts :)
Hi Nan, only made doughnuts once years ago (actually my mom made them and I "helped"). The doughnut reference was that my 8 year old had a bad week (it is dawning on him that other families have cooler stuff and bigger houses and he is wrestling with envy for pretty much the first time in his life). On top of all that, we took a terrible walk (mentioned in earlier post) and he was not liking me much - gave me a tough line about doughnuts! Sigh. Children. Sigh.

Hi Susan,
What a lovely blog you have - I'm so glad to have found it. And I just LOVE the mom & daughter mermaid photo - is that a metal sculpture?
Thanks! And yes, the metal sculpture was an Ebay find a few years back, it's rusted to smithereens but I love it!
Do you make regular doughnuts? If so, I'd love a tutorial. I think homemade, real doughnuts are one of the best foods ever!
