Sunday Quote

It may be homesickness is a nostalgia for everything you have ever had. But I doubt whether I could be cured of it. I can get homesick at the drop of a cap for any place I have ever been and anybody I have ever known. Because every place and every person seems so special.

So very nice, and so true. And I believe there is also a homesickness for where one has never lived, or a time period one has not lived in. In my case, England for example. Or Paris when Hemingway and Fitzgerald (and everybody else!) were there, or life in the Bloomsbury crowd. I guess that is why I love reading so much. I can live for a little while in the places or times I long for.
