the surprise of honeysuckle tucked inside a roadside hedge, one rose peeking, a blue water cover the same color of the sky and the hydrangeas, the intoxicating smell of linden trees in bloom, blue hydrangeas over a yellow splashed wall...all on a stroll in the neighboring town where I grew up a thousand and one years ago.
