The light at five-thirty on Friday evening was lovely.

Early Spring?
The groundhogs in Pennsylvania and Staten Island had conflicting reports about shadows and Spring. Now the two geese that nest in the same spit of land, an odd triangle of grass near a pond, are back a month early.
I asked this crew what the heck was going on, but they weren't talking.

Poetry reading tonight in Connecticut
If you're around and about Norwalk, Ct tonight (a great small coastal city I was fortunate enough to live in some twenty years ago), I will be reading with the poet, Sally Bliumis-Dunn at the Norwalk Public Library from 7:00-8:30 pm. Thanks to Norwalk's very own Poet Laureate, Laurel Peterson, for hosting a series of poets in conversation. Come and welcome the new year with poetry!
"You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me."

Breadcrumbs
A very cool idea - read a piece of writing or view art and be inspired to create something new. That's the magic of a literary magazine called Breadcrumbs which I'm pleased to have previously published a story in. And now? An artist in New Zealand was inspired by my story to create this great art work. Here's a snap from the Facebook page as well as Breadcrumbs online address and a link for the artist's Instagram. Check it out, maybe you'll find an inspiration, a breadcrumb all your own to follow and create something new.

Night lights
Just when I wished for someone to put lights up on our street
I turned up the road and saw the crescent moon pinned in the night sky

Comments
Once again, comments are not posting. It seems to be a blogger issue, not a Google issue. Thank you for remarks, they are appreciated even though I can't post them.

Halloween draws to an end
Spending a morning with about twenty plus wee toddlers not a bad start to the holiday. Library power!
