Early Autumn walk

This tree is the first being to greet you as you enter the grounds. I am fond of trees bearing their names.

The way its old limbs sprawl reminds me of the great southern oak we saw in South Carolina.

is that branch right near the ground? amazing. really lovely photos. i've been reading your poems today, and am SO impressed. i especially like Platitudes from Hell, Found, and Abduction. I would like to put some up on my blog if that's okay. When I post a poem, I usually post a photo of the writer. Is that alright? You have such a way with words. You drew me right into the 'story.'

Thank you, Nan! I would be honored to be posted :)
I am so glad you liked the poems. And yes, that tree branch extends all that way. Too bad the sign on the tree telling its name doesn't list its birthdate as well...
