Sorry to come so late to commenting, but I didn't read this post until now, which happens to be just when I can appreciate it!
The quote fits my style of new year, I guess, because I seemed to need the whole of January just to recover from the festivities and to deal with the cold and dark, and February seems like the right time to be thinking about the possibility of making art and surprising myself. So thank you!
