Cairn

Visiting the cairn at Purchase college while up there. I am a fan of Andy Goldworthy's work and it's a pleasure to be able to say hello to this piece when I'm in the area.

And a magnificent neighboring sculpture of sorts, wrought from seed and God of all mysteries...

Grateful

For the lights staying on, the plow coming through, being strong enough to shovel, Advil, hot cocoa and coffee, polartec, the beauty of winter, staying safe and warm. Oh yeah, and leftover Chinese food. 

Feeling blessed and grateful.

Snow day

Even his dog coat wasn't much help. I dug trails three different times and the snow filled them all in within an hour.  

Tomorrow will be better, little dog.

So grateful we have power. Light and heat are everything right now. Everyone stay cozy and safe.

Welcome 2016

A lovely quote by T.S. Eliot. The person who designed this lovely poster misspelled his name so I have edited it out (a lesser crime than mine as I pinched this off of Pinterest). So I start this year with a theft of words that summon up that desire for newness, the hope that there is hope and second acts and third chances. Amen to that and here's to a blessed new year.

Christmas Eve

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

The fog crept in...

Saturday Poetry Event

Hey all,
